FOUR-DAY WORKWEEK CREATES A PRODUCTIVITY BOOST FOR LIARD’S TEAMS

News - Intro image
Businesses have been particularly hard-hit by the many changes brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Company leaders have gotten creative to adapt their businesses and save jobs. In many cases, this has meant restructuring working hours. The four-day workweek is one such example. This approach is already recognized as one way to help support employees’ well-being, work-life balance, and mental health. Now, it’s also one of the methods that Liard has chosen to implement to offset Covid-related disruptions.

A few months into its implementation, we’ve observed several positive impacts of the four-day workweek. Employees are well-rested, happier, and more diligent with their tasks. They also show improved efficiency and quality in their machining and welding tasks as well as their turnkey projects.  Truly, we have seen only positive changes from this new way of working.

Serving our customers during the four-day workweek

Of course, our customers have noticed that we are now closed on Fridays. Nevertheless, they can still reach Philippe or his associate, Isabelle, as needed around the clock. We are just as available as always for our customers, and our delivery times remain unchanged. We have even observed fewer instances of non-compliance since we switched to a four-day workweek. Again, nothing but good news!

It’s business as usual for our teams and our customers alike. Contact Liard Industries for more information.
