MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY: AN EXPERT EYE FOR COMPLEX REQUIREMENTS IN TERMS OF PART DURABILITY AND LONGEVITY

News - Intro image

“The part’s no longer moving. The bearings are stuck. Our productivity is considerably slowed down. This is causing a lot of problems.

Here’s a situation that happens all too often before customers decide to call CCI. “Send it to us,” replies Louis Couture, engineer and founder of CCI.

Once the parts are received at CCI, the mechanical components are cleaned and inspected.

Most of the time, the equipment is very worn, and the bearings no longer work, in particular due to rust.

The parts are often not in use for very long, sometimes just a few weeks. Louis explains: “This is often the case with equipment components in the pulp and paper industry, which are worked hard.”.

After analysis, depending on the condition of the part and its intended use, the customer must decide whether to refurbish it or manufacture a new part. Whatever the final verdict, the method and treatment chosen will take into account the specific use and performance requirements of the equipment that will receive the part.

The last stage before delivery of the part is mechanical assembly.

CCI offers its customers a turnkey service designed to reduce the number of operators and, consequently, maintenance costs.

The company’s expertise is essential for analyzing the problem and ultimately reassembling the parts. When the parts brought to CCI are returned to their owner, they are ready to be installed in the equipment.
